How do I customize my journal page?

As a deviantART user you can personalize, customize, and organize the look and feel of your journal page.

To begin customizing your widgets, simply visit your journal page and click on the button entitled 'Edit Page'. Once clicked you will be presented with a menu of widgets that you can add.

After you have setup your widgets, you can further customize them by clicking on the edit button, located on the widget you wish to modify. In edit mode you will presented with options such as, the poll you wish to display on your page, the number of shouts shown, the option to remove or edit a poll and more. You can also reach edit mode directly while adding widgets to your userpage. To do this simply click on the down arrow next to the widget you wish to edit.

To remove any widgets at a later date, simply re-click the button entitled 'Edit Page'. Next click on the down arrow located next to the widget you wish to remove and you will be presented with the option to remove it. You may also remove them from your journal page by clicking on the 'Edit' button directly on the widget you wish to remove. Once clicked you will be presented with the option to remove the widget.

Below you will find a short description of use for each widget that you can place on your journal page.

Journal Entries

This widget displays your entire journal history from newest to oldest. To view older entries simply use the navigation bar located at the bottom of your journal page.

  Note: This widget cannot be removed.

Journal Sidebar

The journal sidebar allows you to add various widgets to your journal page. You can drag & drop them in the order you like.

• Journal History - This widget displays a short listing of your journal history.

Subscriber Only widgets:

• Polls - This widget allows you to create & display a poll directly on your journal page.
  
  Once you have added this widget to your page you can add a new poll at anytime by clicking on the button entitled 'New', located directly on the widget.
  
  You can also remove or edit your polls by clicking on the button entitled 'Edit', located directly on the widget.



• Forum - Use this widget to create & display a personal forum right on your journal page.
  
  To add a poll simply add this widget to your page and click on the link entitled 'Start a thread'. You may also click this link at anytime directly on the widget itself, provided you have added this widget to your page.



• Shoutbox - Use this widget to allow others to give you a shout out directly on your userpage.



• Custom - This widget will allow you to create a custom widget on your page.
