Network Solutions

This tutorial will help you edit or create a new CNAME record for a domain that you are hosting with Network Solutions.

  1. 1.) Go to www.networksolutions.com web site and log in from the Account Manager tab

  2. 2.) Click the Domains left menu tab

  3. 3.) Click Manage Domain Names

  4. 4.) Select the check box next to the domain that you would like to use to host your Portfolio

  5. 5.) Click Edit DNS to access the DNS Manager Settings page

  6. 6.) Click Add/Edit in the Host Aliases: CNAME Records section

  7. 7.) Enter an alias name that you would like to use such as Portfolio or photography. This will be the subdomain that you point to your portfolio as in portfolio.yourname.com

  8. 8.) Enter hosted.daportfolio.com as your host name

  9. 9.) By clicking Continue your CNAME should now be configured and should be pointing to your Portfolio. Please note that CNAME changes are not immediate and may take a few hours to propagate. You will still be able to view and edit your portfolio through the portfolio management page
