How do I add a deviantID to my devious information? What is the recommended size of a deviantID?

To submit an ID to have displayed on your user page, you need to click the Submit Deviation link. This link can be found on your userpage. You can also use the "Quick Menu" to get to the submit page. The Quick Menu can be accessed by clicking the small deviantART logo next to your username, located under the deviantART header. Once the logo is clicked a menu will drop down with the option to Submit a Deviaton, in the top of the listing.

Once on the submission page you will need to input a Title for your deviantID, in the "Deviation Title" field provided. Next you will need to select the Category deviantART Related > deviantID from the Category selector, by clicking on the "Choose" button. Once done you will want to upload the file you wish to be your deviantID in to your "File Deck".

Note that your deviantID has to be a picture (JPG, PNG or GIF if you desire an animated ID) - Flash Animations can't be used as a deviantID, the idea is, to keep deviantIDs relatively simple, animation-wise. Further help regarding animated deviantIDs can be found in another FAQ entry.

After you have uploaded your file to your "File Deck" you will want to proceed on to filling out all further information and then click on "Finish" to complete the submission process.

When the submission process is complete, you will then need to go to your Edit Profile page, then the User Page Display tab, and select the desired ID from the drop down list situated on the left hand side. Once done click on Update.

To avoid having the side cut off, please do not make your ID any wider than 400 pixels.

To change your deviantID you will need to follow the above steps again.

If you wish to remove your deviantID you will need to visit your Edit Profile page, followed by the User Page Display tab. Once there select 'none' from the drop down listing, located next to the deviantID field.
