What are some of the suggestions deviantART receives for features that simply will not be put in place?
Will deviantART ever allow the submission of software?
We currently have no plans to allow the submission of software.
Will deviantART disable right-clicking?
Essentially, this is like placing a padlock on a paper bag. While right-clicking an image and choosing "Save Image As" is the most common and easiest method of saving images, it is far too easy to get around to justify it.
Not only that, it would also cause artists to neglect other methods of ensuring their art doesn't get stolen, such as putting their copyright on it or watermarking, since they would be feeling safe already.
Will deviantART add the ability to edit comments or forum posts?
We apologize for the inconvenience but, comments and forum posts cannot be edited, as allowing such could lead to member abuse situations.
Will deviantART ever allow uploading of music files?
Not at this time as there is a wealth of legal and structural issues to consider.
However, Dmusic.com offers a music service for free, as do a wealth of other sites.
Why are avatars so small? Why can't we have a larger avatar?
The current size requirements (50px by 50px and under 15KB) were chosen with the site layout in mind, and to make page loading times a little faster for those who are not on broadband connections, as well as those with computers that aren't 'fast'.
With this in mind, we do not plan to lift this limitation, nor will there be a change in the file size or dimension limits.
Why does deviantART not have a complete member listing?
With there being millions of user accounts on deviantART, maintaining a members list would be impractical. Deviants are welcome to use the Today page, Random Deviation and Random Deviant links to find new galleries to explore!
