How do I use a Pastie with Blogger, LiveJournal, etc.?

deviantART Pasties are little windows into the deviantART world that you can stick onto your own website or blog. You could have your most recent deviations always showing on your own homepage, or the top favourites from your favourite category decorating your sidebar. Whatever you like. Try it out!

You can access pasties from the Pasties tab of the Settings page. From here you will be given a set of drop down menus to decide which images are to be used in your Pastie, along with options for the size you want your pasties thumbnails to be and the number of images to show. Some of the more advanced options will be available to Subscribers only.

You will be shown a preview of the Pastie on the next page, from here you can go back and make any changes or continue on and create the Pastie. The next and final page will contain the code you need to paste onto your site or Blog.

The Pastie system is designed for sites like Blogger or personal webspace that allow users a lot of freedom and customisation. One great example of this is the Pasties on Blogger tutourial from ~InfernalFear. Many sites such as MySpace do not allow this, for those you can use the "Blog this" feature. For more information on "Blog this" please refer to; FAQ #270: What is the "Share This & Blog It" feature and how do I use it? Can I disable my deviations from this service?
