How can I add a deviation thumbnail to my notes?

To display a thumbnail, you need to use the :thumb#: notation, where # is the number of the deviation in which you wish to display.

For instance, if you view a deviation you will notice a number at the end of the URL, for example http://www.deviantart.com/view/7400861. to display this deviation in thumb form you would simply type :thumb7400861:

You can also grab the complete thumb code by viewing a deviation. Once on a deviation page navigate to the right-hand side of the artists comments box and you will see the thumb code field. Or you may use the 'Share This' feature. To do this navigate to the deviation you wish to send via note and click on the "Share This/Blog This" link, located to the left of the deviation. Once clicked on you will be presented with the option of sending the deviation thumbnail through notes.

Please be advised, thumbnails will not display while in the preview mode, but will display fine once sent.
