To give another deviant a direct link to this FAQ answer, use the following code in your comment or forum post:

How do I submit Film?

Note: First you must be invited to submit film, otherwise this process will not work.

Once you’ve finished editing your piece, made sure it's less than 20 minutes, smaller than 200MB, and in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it.

There are three ways to access the submission page, read on for details.

On your user page you will find a "Submit Deviation" button, clicking this button will take you to the submission process page, this button also appears on the main deviantART homepage. You can also use the "Quick Menu" to get to the submit page. The Quick Menu can be accessed by clicking the small deviantART logo next to your username, located under the deviantART header. Once the logo is clicked a menu will drop down with the option to submit a deviation, in the top of the listing.

Deviation Title and Category -

The first thing you will want to do is select a title for your Deviation, this should be entered in the "Deviation Title" field. This is what your submitted artwork will be called. Titles can contain spaces.

Next you will wish to select a Category. Here in the drop down menu, you will find the main “Film” category and you should select that. Next, you can decide where your work is best described by continuing through the category section choices that best fit your work.

Which File? - Choosing or Adding one -

Choose "Which File" to use for your deviation by clicking on it to highlight it, this will mark the image to be submitted. If only one image is uploaded to your File Deck it will be auto highlighted and marked for upload. If the File Deck is empty, use the "Add a File" button to browse for the file on your computer, or "Add Text" button for Literature.

When you mark a file for upload you will be asked if you wish to keep the source file in this temporary area after the deviation has been submitted. Checking this option will keep the source file in this area for a period of one week. This option will mainly be best utilized for use in the Prints Program.

Allow download of the original (full-sized) image - check this option if you wish to enable the "Download" option on the Deviations, that viewers can click, to see the image on their computers.

Note: You can upload multiple images to your File Deck to be used for later submissions. Artist's Comments, keywords, Deviation Options and Creative Commons -
