How do I customize my profile page?
As a deviantART user you can personalize, customize, and organize the look and
feel of your userpage.
To begin customizing your userpage widgets, simply visit your userpage and click
on the button entitled 'Edit Page'. Once clicked you will be presented with a
listings of widgets that you can add right on your userpage.
After you have setup your widgets, you can further customize them by clicking
on the edit button, located on the widget you wish to modify. In edit mode you
will presented with options such as, dragging and dropping your widgets to different locations, increasing the thumbnail limit, avatar or
avatar & username display and as a deviantART Subscriber you will have extra
options like extended thumbnail limits and sitback. You can also reach edit mode
directly while adding widgets to your userpage. To do this simply click on the
down arrow next to the widget you wish to edit.
To remove any widgets at a later date, simply re-click the button entitled 'Edit
Page'. Next click on the down arrow located next to the widget you wish to remove
and you will be presented with the option to remove it. You may also remove them
from your userpage by clicking on the 'Edit' button directly on the widget you
wish to remove. Once clicked you will be presented with the option to remove the
widget.
Below you will find a short description of use for each widget that you can place
on your userpage.
Art Zone
Featured Deviation - Do you have a special deviation that
you wish to show off? This widget makes that possible.
Note: The ability to have more than one Featured Deviation widget is a Subscriber only feature.
Newest - This widget allows you to show off your recent
deviations.
Favourites - This widget displays deviations you have added
to your favourites.
Gallery Folder - Here you can show off one of your gallery
folders.
Collection - Do you want to show off a special collection
of deviations? If yes, then this is the widget for you!
Personal Zone
Journal - This widget allows you to display your journal
directly on your userpage without having to visit your journal page.
deviantID - With this widget you can elect to show an image
that best represents you as an artist, it can be an actual picture of yourself,
a picture of your workstation or whatever you choose!
Note: To use this widget you must first upload a deviation
to the submission category deviantART Related > Deviant ID. If submitting a .GIF file it will only display if less than 150 by 150 pixels.
Devious Info - In this widget you can fill out things about
yourself, such as your Current Residence, Interests, Favourite Artist, Favourite
style of art, Operating system, Personal Quote and more!
Misc Zone
Friends - With this widget, you can display the friends
you have here on deviantART.
Note: The Friends widget will display those deviants who
are checked off as your Friends in you’re my Friends
Page.
Webcam - This widget allows you to display webcam image.
Note: Webcam images must be either a .JPG, .PNG or .GIF file.
Watchers - This widget allows you to display a listing
of members who have devwatched
you.
News - If you have ever posted
a news article, you can show off your submitted articles in the form of
a list using this widget.
Note: You can drag
this widget under your Personal Zone as well.
Fave News - This widget displays the latest news articles
that you have favourited.
Wishlist - The Wishlist widget is for you to list Prints
or deviantWEAR which you at some point would like to purchase. The idea of
having the Wishlist displayed on your user page is so that any members feeling
generous could if they want to purchase any items on this list for you.
To add or remove items from your wishlist you will need to click on 'More',
located in the main menu. Once clicked proceed by clicking on Shop > My Wishlist,
to be taken to your management page.
Journal History - This widget displays a short listing
of your journal history.
Note: You can drag
this widget under your Personal Zone as well.
